Level I Programs
The Level I programs are
designed for participants who have had only fundamental, basic academic
business courses or business experience. They ensure that participants
achieve mastery of skills and conceptual frameworks that will enhance
and inform their learning throughout their curriculum of suggested
programs. Participants begin working together in groups of different
sizes and in different contexts such as case discussions, lectures,
workshops, problem set reviews, and team projects. Participants develop
and apply the skills required to organize and function within a
productive project team in preparation for the advanced skills and
training of Levels II and III.

Meets Once A Week
4 Instruction Modules Will Be Covered In 12 Three
Hour Sessions
1. General Management
This module addresses the unique
challenges faced by people responsible for the overall success of an
enterprise. Using a series of cases describing such challenges, the
course is designed to help participants develop their own approaches,
guidelines, and skills for being effective general managers.
2. Financial Reporting and Control
This module provides a
broad view of how accounting contributes to an organization and how
managers can make optimal use of accounting information, accounting
records and systems, and accountants as internal resources.
3. Leadership and Organizational Behavior
The human side
of the enterprise and how managers become effective leaders is the
focus of this module. Why do some groups perform well while others
fail? What does it take to build productive work relationships? How do
individuals build successful and rewarding careers? The answers to
these and many other employee behavioral/human resource questions are
explored during this course.
4. Technology and Operations Management
During this
module, participants learn how to develop the skills and concepts
needed to ensure the ongoing encompass all elements of coherent
operation systems--process analysis, cross-functional and cross-firm
integration, product development, and technology and operations
strategy.
